Family Day Fun

Posted on 17 February 2017

Did you know that one of the reasons of the introduction of Family Day was that there was a long period when there were no holidays from New Year's Day until Good Friday? This holiday was first held in the province of Alberta, Canada in 1990. It was an opportunity for workers to spend more time with their families. Today, family day is recognized as a statutory holiday on the third Monday of February in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Check out these fun-filled family events happening in these three provinces this long weekend!
