We are LNBF - Leave Nothing But Footprints, a lifestyle brand that creates timeless designs for everyone.
We believe that our purpose is to live a life filled with love for each other and our earth that we call home.
HOW IT BEGAN
LNBF was started in 2007 during a time when sustainable sourcing was new in the Canadian fashion industry. Our founders wanted to create sustainable, stylish, and comfortable clothing that would fit and flatter all women. To this day, we are still a small business (we’re a team of 10 women!) and we continue to make conscious clothing as well as home and bedding products that are long-lasting and accessible for all.
We believe that earth is a gift, given to us to be cherished.
At LNBF, we choose to use sustainable and earth-friendly fibres in all our products, including organic bamboo, organic cotton, and tencel. We use non-toxic Oeko-Tex 100 certified dyes that are free of heavy metals and allergens.
We care for everyone involved with producing our clothing from start to finish. We seek to build long-term relationships with our partners so that we can grow together and sustain the livelihoods of all peoples. All of our overseas factory partners are audited to ensure that they exceed national standards for health and safety, workplace conditions and workers’ protection.
From the farms, to the mills, to the factories, we create each item of clothing in the same region to reduce the ecological impact of shipping materials from one country to another. Once the pieces are ready, we slowly ship them by sea to Canada.
We love our community and we are committed to giving back. Each year, we recognize an outstanding Canadian woman through our LNBF Earth Award. We support her with a grant for a community initiative or project that seeks to create a more sustainable world for future generations. Read more about our Earth Award and our past winners here.
LNBF is also a proud member of LiveGreen Toronto. We also support a number of charities including: David Suzuki Foundation, Amazon Rainforest Conservancy, Toronto City Mission, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
